Hinduism - The principal religious tradition of India, centred upon the sacred texts of the Vedas. Philosophically Indian thought is separated into various darshanas or schools, exhibiting a rich variety of approaches and interests. Central concepts of Indian thought include Atman, Brahman, Karma, Moksha, and Samsara, and the various Indian schools often anticipate the later topics of western philosophical thought. The concise theories and teachings are available in Bhagwat Gita spoken by Lord Krishna. One who understand it and follow it in life will be great. We Hindus, try our best to follow it. We are all proud of Hinduism and following it-

Originally when the world began about 5000 years ago there was only one religion. It was the religion of the deities called 'the original eternal deity religion'. Deitism which is no more was established by God in heaven( heaven is on earth and not up above in the sky) for His children. This religion lasted for 2500 years during the reigns of Shri Laksmir and Shri Rama ( 1250 years apiece).During this period worship of God was unadulterated and pure. But as the law has it anything new must become old so after the 2500 year period the worship of God became adulterated(from purity to impurity) so the worshipers were compelled to change their name as it were from deitism to hinduism. So unlike all the other bodily religions which have founders, hinduism has no known founder to date.It is akin to saying don't call me Mr A again but instead call me Mr B. Simply put hinduism is the adulterated form of the original eternal deity religion and its members can now be found in almost all the other bodily religions. Jesus established one christian religion which was pure and unadulterated at birth but today what do we see? How many branches of the christian religion do we have and what is the mode of worship?Like hinduism which is adulterated so are all the other bodily religions. Tell me, what is the aim and objective of all the other bodily religions we have in this world?

Hinduism is among the most ancient religion on this earth. Probably this is the only religion that is based on the eternal human principals Rather then revolving round some historic personality. It is in this religion where the philosophy and religion go hand in hand. It is this religion that spreads the message of brotherhood to all of the living creatures on this universe. It is this religion that explains as to why you should be good, why you should help others and also why you should not hurt others. It is the only religion that spreads the message of love and love alone. It is the only religion where there is no imagination of any 'Satan'. What else should I say. There is much more to this religion and probably I don't have enough knowledge to say all that.
We had a great Saint in the form of Swami Vivekananda. His book "The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda" or "I am a Voice without Form" are the best source to know about Hinduism in short.

Hinduism is a way of life and not a religion as most people think. I do follow the way of life as any other Hindu believes.

There can be no life without light. There would be no appreciation for the light without the spark of life. Life exists in many more forms than we are truly aware of. I am certain at the point this body ends, there is a kind of evolution into...well not sure of what, but the life I know now will continue in another form. I'm not afraid to shed this life, not ready to yet either mind you...I would pick the path that seemed most correct to me at the time. I am always willing to alter my plans based on new info.

certain things need to be followed blindly. certain things need scrutiny before being followed. fortunately or unfortunately, we have so many religions now a days. followers of each religion is marked with water tight compartments which is not supposed to be and gave birht enemities. what should have been more proper was to follow/accept good things of all religions and not bad things. i do that and i still remained a hindu.
