Amazing that a book that can be proven to have existed back to very time of Jesus can be called into question.
Interesting counter point? How is it that people can place so much faith in science, when in a mere hundred years the current scientific "facts" will be scoffed at as ludicrous falsehoods.

You tangled up your own argument with the line: "even the Catholic church has declared...a forgery". (by "Christians" I assume you are including Catholics).
But this sort of history is no longer taught in schools as anything of value. I would LOVE to have a religious history lesson taught generally. (Memorizing the succession of Popes, the Patriarchs and the times surrounding the events etc). However, you do not take into account the devastating loss we suffered when the Library of Alexandria burnt down, and the Dark Ages which were precipitated by Ghengis Khan et al.
Much information and artifacts were lost, including, (I believe), the Rod of Moses.
War is a b*tch.
My personal belief: The Word, referring to the bible, referring to Jesus, are one in the same. The bible is living to me, and being written upon the hearts and minds of men. If you know the Christ, you know the full meaning of the bible. If you know the bible, you are only Beginning to know the Christ.

whats up, bypass decrease back one step greater effective. If christians knew HOW the bible replaced into incredibly written as a "decrease and paste" from the myths modern-day of their international on the time, they could freak. commencing up with Genesis, lots of the books of the the OT have been written by ability of greater effective than one author and those written in the process the Babylonian captivity have been many times "political" records to tell the jews the thank you to split themselves from their conquerors. The NT is likewise a "decrease & paste" from the secret religions, has multiple contradictions, the epistles have been written first, then Mark, then something. And the two books comprise forgeries.

Why it is so hard for you to believe that some people actually have the relationship with God. You do not have it, but some people have it and it is hard for you to believe it.
Jesus is the most documented person in ancient history, outside of the Bible.
I have done my research and I am happy with the results too. The Bible is reliable. I have a personal relationship with God, no one can take that from me.
Once you know God, you also want to believe in Him. I am not afraid to to learn "your side of the story". It is that you cannot "learn" what is the personal relationship with God other way than accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Ignorance of Truth. The bible is the best propaganda book ever written. Remember history is written by the victor. Plus I think when Christians hear the words "THY" and "THOU" It gives them that fuzzy warm feeling in the pit of their stomach.

There is also no absolute historical proof that Socrates ever lived, either. Many scholars in the fields of history and philosophy are extremely divided as to his existence outside the mind of Plato. As for the existence of Christ, this so-called argument is no more than one in a long line of desperate measures by desperate people who themselves are of absolutely no consequence whatsoever in the course of human affairs.

you can't give one answer for all the people. There are many reasons. Content and satisfied, lazy, pride, many many other reasons. Generally speaking, Once a Christian has tasted God they are at peace and require nothing more for evidence

I think it is fear. It is a weak faith than can not even stand to hear the words of its detractors. Their typical reaction is to put their hands over their ears and make loud noises. Then they ask questions that everyone else knows the real answers to and ingnore those when they are given. If there is a god, he weeps for his flock.
