Hi there ,Ican't seem to find any specifications for this Receiver.I am not familiar with the Insignia brand. If it was up to me i would consider an Onkyo or Denon instead. The Denon AVR 4304 looks a good buy Have a look at the link below and see what you think.

i wish the Bose posters have been kidding as a results of fact Bose sound is crap, notably while in comparison with what you have already. that's a extensive volume to spend on the receiver. on the minimum, inspect the Harman Kardon AVR635, which has a room eq function that's spectacular. Very musical and heat sound. you additionally should look at the Denon 2807 and 4306, which additionally incorporate state-of-the-paintings equalization applications which will regulate the sound to in superb condition your room acoustics. At that budget you additionally can inspect separates. look at Outlaw Audio and the Emotiva manufacturers for separate pre-amp + amp mixtures which would be a extensive step up in high quality (and value)

i own a yamaha 5.1 dolby digital/ dts system. I got it from radioshack for like $200.00. It is very very good for the price. it has a 10" sub, and all five speakers. It has one optical input, one coaxial input, a bunch of composite, and 2 component inputs. Plus, a preout for a powered sub.
