Write what year you had yours put in and how long so I can have something recent to rely on.

I just had my expander widened for the first time today, (7/12) and surprisingly I didn't really feel much.

i had mine in 2000 for a few months and then again in 2007 for a few months. it doesnt hurt at all. at least for me it didnt. believe me i have been going through orthodontic work for 7 years and will be still for about 10-12 more. and if you need it: tylenol DOES help.

HI,
YOU ARE GOING TO FEEL SOME TIGHTNESS THE DAY THE EXPANDER IS TIGHTENED, BUT NOT MUCH PAIN.
THIS IS A VERY SLOW PROCESS AND TYLENOL CAN TAKE THE EDGE OFF.
