I was wondering that since i was enlisted during the global war on terriorism. but the award was not around when i got out. is the a way to get it added to my service jacket and get a new dd214

no you cannot, thats why they go over the dd214 so many times with you before you get out, or atleast are suppose to. for once you sign it you agree to it and are therefore no further changes whatsoever, unless you rejoin the service of course.

I strongly doubt it. As far as I know, you have to be in the service when the "gimme" award is conceived to be eligible.
