could it be make up? her eyes just water on a daily basis and we don't know why. no, she is not crying. lol but why are they watering?

Is it possible she has allergies? Does her nose water and run too? If so that sounds like allergies. Maybe something in the environment (pollen, dust or mold?) could be causing that.

It could be something else though, so maybe an optometrist should take a look-see first and give an opinion? Otherwise see what the doc has to say.

Allergies, or she has blocked nasal lacrimal ducts. These are the top 2 guesses without seeing her. Both are treatable. First, try otc Zaditor, it is an eye allergy drop that used to require an Rx, and now is available otc. If that doesn't help, go see the o.d or opthalmologist, and if it is her ducts, they may change the med's and/or open the ducts, and this doesn't hurt. As to the nurse who said ducts produce tears, that is totally wrong, ducts drain the tears,. The tears are produced by the lacrimal gland, and by the accessary glands. Ducts=drain, glands=production...

i have the same problem and my eye doctor put me on eye drops for dry eye syndrome. do NOT use the ones you buy over the counter as they only make the problem worse. its a real simple problem to fix if she gets the right drops. My doctor said that the eyes water when they are dry to moisten them and that some peoples eyes need help as they dont make enuf solution. once i started using the drops it stopped

dry eye can cause your eyes to water, it sounds funny but severe watering is a warning sign of it

she may have dry eyes, and needs moisturizing eye drops cause the tears are not moisturizing anymore. try that

she may have a blocked tear duct, not only do tear ducts produce tears, they also channel excess tears away.
