its just one more teaching that is contrary to the Word of God.
i am seriously wonderign whether the pope is the flesh incarnation of satan, who lies and lies and lies and works contrary to the Word of God. below are some examples:::
catholics so love traditions, that the basic commandment of worshipping the True God ONLY, is being forgotten.
traditions, traditions, traditions.
tell me , it is your tradition to pray through mary. but the Bible tells me specifically to pray TO THE FATHER, with the Lord's prayer, and pray THROUGH Jesus, who is the Mediator of mankind. so do i LISTEN to your DOCTRINES, or do i open up my Bible and check?
it is YOUR tradition and beliefs to say that the Pope and The Catholic church are INFALLIBLE, that mary was sinlesss, i open my Bible, and the Word tells me plainly that, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory one God.". so, do i buy into your doctrines or do i simply believe the true Word of God?
it is YOUR tradition and beliefs to say that mary is Queen of Heaven. but i open up my Bible and the only mention of the queen of heaven, is the pagan goddess in the book of Jeremiah. my Bible says, there is only ONE LORD in heaven, and one worthy of adoration, veneration and worship, that is Christ, the Lamb of God.
it is YOUR traditions, to pray for thedead, and intercede for them in MASS, but the Bible tells me that it is detestable sin, to have anything to do with the spirits of the dead, or try to even communicate with them.
are you trying to tell me to disobey the Bible and follow your human doctrines?

Whether you agree with him or not, what he states is obviously due to his convictions and other matters.
One thing to realize though, and whether the Catholic church or some other church out there is the "true" church or not, the statement made a very specific true point that I believe most Christian's don't even know.
That is, that there was, only one church of Jesus Christ on the earth when Jesus came and establish it. A suggestion is to study the history or the church and what it had and then look for the church on this earth that has those things. The Church of Jesus Christ had twelve apostles and a prophet, it had many other things. The members of Jesus Christ's church were called Saints.
Search and find the church with those things which contain those things that existed when Christ organized HIS church, if it exists or not. It is important to note that it was Jesus Christ Church and not Sam's local church, or Adam's Apples Great Church, it was HIS church which he formed and had gave authority.
My personal feeling is that we all to often think this is a horrible claim to state, even though I may disagree with the Catholic church's statement. What if Jesus established only ONE church and named it after him and it was a certain way, what we he feel of the things that occur today that may be indifferent to his original church. I feel he wouldn't be mad, but would simply be saddened.
I previously was Catholic and am grateful for my time and all I learned within the Catholic church.

Well, the Pope didn't make a comment so much as approved a CDF document, but I agree with the sentiment. I converted to Catholicism in 1999 after my research led me to conclude that the Catholic Church is indeed the One True Church.

the international wellness corporation advise condoms to stay away from STI's inclusive of HIV. So why unexpectedly has the Pope grow to be an expert on the region, curiously this replaced into the 1st time a pontif has ever used the wisdom 'condom' and he has truly under no circumstances used one! The Catholic faith dont accept as true with intercourse exterior of marriage, delivery administration or homosexuality so it is the place his comments have come from. As Cherries and Cream says he would desire to have been advertising monogamy quite than saying condoms are increasing the threat of AIDS. it is such an unbelivably risky and idiotic remark to make and he would have undone each and all the form made interior the combat against AIDS together with his uneducated fact. He would desire to stay with faith and stay out of each little thing else. It strikes me that each and every time he opens his mouth he places his foot in it.

I think the current spate of whining by Protestants here is very disappointing, but I can't say that I'm surprised by it.
If you have spent any time in this section, you have surely seen Protestants stating that "Catholics aren't Christians." They say it here all the time.
Now they are all whining that the Pope said the same thing about them.
Whether or not the two sides say it publicly, they clearly both view the others as heretics. If they didn't, they would still be one church.

If he didn't believe that he couldn't be Pope. "One true church" is a traditional statement made by the Catholic church about the Catholic church. It's not new to him.

Here is the full text of the new document that states nothing new: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20070629_responsa-quaestiones_en.html
Most Christian denominations believe that each of them is the fullest version of the Church of Christ.
While the Catholic Church also believes that she is "the highest exemplar" of the mystery that is the Church of Christ, she does not claim that non-Catholic Churches are not truly Christian. The Catholic Church teaches:
Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.
Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.
All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

I saw this as a best answer on someone's question:
"Protestants don't believe in the Catholic Church anyway so why does it matter to them that the Pope said something to clarify and teach the faith to Catholics. "

The real question is "What do think of the Pope's comment that the Catholic Church is the one false church?" I agree with this one.

I am not really happy with what he said. He is a divider, but he has pretty red shoes. It puts a strain on the Catholic/Protestant relationship.
Catholics are called the "Church". Protestants are called "ecclesical communities".
From now on just ask what ecclesical community I belong to.

It is a claim given daily by people of all denominations and religions.
Not earth-shattering, other than it is a change from the Roman Catholic view since V.2.
