I sleep with a humidifier on in my room--winter where I live is very, very dry, and the furnace makes it even worse. In summer, my air conditioning does the same thing. I am a singer, and have to keep my throat humidified, or I lose my voice. You can also try to focus on drinking lots of water during the day.

Hope this helps!

Do you smoke a lot? Are you around a lot of fumes where you work? Do you use your voice all day or yell a lot? It sounds like you could just be straining your voice during the day and feeling it in the afternoon/nights. Think about what you are around all day. Good luck to you.

sounds like a lot of post nasal drip or drainage. Try taking an antihistamine.
