Maybe you can suggest a " suggestion box" where the young people can have an input on how the youth meetings can relate to what they are currently going through in these times... and what they would like to see done at the youth meetings. What works and what does not work...
Sometimes its a generation thing, and one generation may not really be up to date with what the changing needs are of the younger generation...
Maybe mixing it up and putting up a Roster of upcoming events so that it'll make your times enjoyable and a real healthy environment to grow in the Lord
The reason why your youth leader stresses on this area is because he is burdened that you all are living unto the Lord, Or maybe its where He or She is at right now..but this is not the way to keep young people interested and coming back.We all need to be balanced in sharing the word and not just stress on ONE particular aspect.. there many facets to our growth and development in our christian life and many want not just the milk but the meat in the word..
Touching matters like
- developing a healthy relationship with the Lord
-studying the bible and prayer
-dealing with youthful lust and fornication according to the Bible.
-Witnessing
-Using your talents unto the Lord
-Besetting sins
-Teenage sexuality
-Music
- Peer Pressure
- Preserving your christian testamony in School
You can have
- Debates on all kinds of topics.
-Talent night
-Visiting another youth group
-Inviting another youth group
-Bible studies
-Hiking
The possiblities are endless...
I just hope that the suggestion box can work and that you Youth leader will be open to this.
As for you, just keep your heart open to love the Lord in these golden years of your life:)
Treasure your teenage years to Love Jesus ok hun:)

Hehe. I did ministry with a guy that was like that. His lessons made 0 sense but the kids liked him.
What you could do is come with Scriptures prepared and prayed over. Listen to what he says and then when asked to respond (which many kids dont) you can bust out your mini-lesson and he cant really say no at that point. That way you can share a word from God and also give him and other kids something to think about. He'll be very proud of you too. I wouldve given anything to have a student like that when I was a youth teacher.

What is it that you want to do? or want him to do? Maybe talk to him but not in front of everyone....and just be honest in a non-argumentative way and have some suggestions ready for what you and the others would like to hear instead. Be real positive about what he has already talked about but let him know that you DO understand it now and you want to learn other things. Maybe suggest getting some other speakers or letting some of the youth participate in speaking. If you can get him to think HE has come up with some things that you all would like than he is more likely to do them. Possibly see if HE thinks it would be a good idea to make a questionnaire for everyone to fill out....like list different topics they can just check mark to say they would like to hear that....and just "happen" to have some topics ready that you thought of. Good things happen to thinking people! You sound like one of those people. Oh, I just saw Sandy had some great topics listed!

Variety is the spice of LIFE, some have said.
You are the salt of the Earth.
Either tell your youth leader you need variety or the salt will lost its flavor.
Or try to get everything out of the same lecture everytime you hear it.
If you do nothing what will change?
If you do something will it change?
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

Well I would first approach your leader as others have said. Then if possible talk with your parents and discuss possibility of going to a different church or youth group where you can get spiritually fed.

Tell Him (as polite as u can), when it's only 2 of u there, tell him that he should change the lecture's topic..if he keep sayin the same topic over n over, it'll make the listeners get bored (i was having this problem =.=),
and if he keeps goin on that topic, the listeners will also can't get new knowledge

well maybe tell the leader that you all have thought long and hard about where you would go if tonight was your last night, and then tell him a really good answer in a good respectful tone, and then propose another topic to talk about that would have to carry over to the next session and maybe he will begin with talking about that and also it couldn't hurt to ask him where he thinks he will go.

Politely ask him if he has more to teach you.
Tell him that he keeps going over the same thing each time and maybe he will do some homework and come back with something new.
Is he old?

sound out to him or her that you need deeper spiritual understanding.
but ask yourself first,
are you in a group where there are young christians or younger people who might not understand deeper things?
can God still speak through basic lectures about your life?
