Have you been around someone that wore an ostomy bag? Now be honest...if you saw it were you turned off? Was it like, oh well, you have that so what? If the person with the bag was ok with their looks, would it or would it not be appropriate going to a nude or clothing optional location?

The Japanese have a saying, nudity is often seen, but never noticed. In other words, it is polite to not notice. I think there is nothing whatever wrong with an ostomy patient going to a clothing optional beach if he or she is comfortable with nudity. If others have a problem with it, then it is THEIR problem, not the ostomy patient's problem.

I agree with the above poster. We, ostomates, have as much right to go to nude beaches/clothing optional locations as anyone else, whether we're 'ok with their looks' or not. We've had our bowel removed, that's all. If others can't handle it, that's their problem.

Besides, there are a lot of 'bowel intact' people that go to nude beaches that don't look the best either!
