OK, I don't want "family" given as answers, that's a given.
I believe what ever you answer to this, says a lot about who you are. I've thought about this for quite some time and can not come up with any ONE thing. Can you?

Yes, I can. The most important thing to me above anything else, is to keep the faith until the end and have Jesus say..."Well done, my good and faithful servant"....on the day I die, I want to feel that all is well with my soul. I want to leave this world with a smile and the knowledge that I am going to Heaven.

I don't think I have an "absolute most important thing".... except maybe Truth. There are so many good things on earth, and we all have our own portions of it. Truth is the most important thing... but that said, I don't even think it is absolutely important that we know it all.
Truth, as an eternal thing that remains and never changes, is the "absolute most important thing" because it encompasses all that is good, including family, physical health, education, morality, relationship with God, freedom, happiness, etc, etc.
