The earth will not flood. I have heard that studies were done by some British scientists (sorry I don't have a link at the moment) and they determined that if all the glaciers and stuff were to melt then the water level would not rise very much. It was in inches, I want to say 4, but I will have to check to make sure. I will look for it.
As one person said, God said he was going to burn the earth with fire. Maybe this is how it will happen.
I will look for that link.

First, if Global Warming is real and if it could lead to flooding, that would not be the fault of God. God would not be flooding the earth, mankind would. He gave us free-will to do as we please. We are not puppets on a string. If we choose to flood his planet, so be it. He would let us. He let us nuke parts of it didnt he?
But - other than that im not completely sold on the Global Warming thing. I believe there is a problem, to think that mankind can continue on the same path of poluting the earth and burning fuels without a negative impact to the planet is just being silly and blind.
ON THE OTHER HAND - I dont buy into the worse case scenario that the Al Gores of the world are preaching to us. I dont think that within 10 years New York City is going to be flooded out unless we change now. Maybe 1000 years from now, but 10 years from now? No way.

Great question! Several things to consider
1- ozone depletion
2- the elements of the sun
3- axis of the earth
4- effects of man on the planet
5- effects of nature on the planet
1 - true there is ozone depletion but its caused by may forces not just mankind
2- the sun is getting closer and hotter, science already told us everthing we need to know about the sun
3- we know already several years ago the axis of the earth has shifted some say a new ice age on the way
4-mankind in all its vastness has never been able to harness anything on this earth, hitler was the closest one to ever concouring anything and he was nothing compaired to this world, whatever man does the lord created equal force on the earth to balance him
5- this is the greatest I feel of the global warming issues... if you look at hawaii the earth is coming from the ground at alarming rate with volcanic eruptions contiously....Yellowstone is closed now you can't go visit it anymore too many toxins coming from the inner core of the earth
oh ya what about those millions of billions of achers of land that burn every year and so on!
So if you look at those 5 issues of course its going to warm things up, but the earth has 7 layers above it, not just one has anyone looked at what the others are doing.......
take care great question you have no one answer its combination of everything peace out

I know it's getting warm. But I am working in the Mojave Desert!
Could be that global warming is another of the efforts to condition the population into submitting to some near in the future radical demand that will foisted on us by the governments and corporate rulers of the west. (Just a thought, they have been doing this sort of thing to us for years, any doubts? why are we in Iraq again?)

To make reliable statements about the changing temps of the earth, look at global indicators---one is satellite temperature data and they show no global warming trend.

Global warming is real even if it goes against your beliefs. Before it is over, all the low lying cities and coastline will be under water. MY world will flood. I live on a coast.

Hmm... let's see; scientists know it's real, only laymen even see a "debate" (just like evolution, folks) and this very web site contains a section for it.... furthermore, different parts of the earth are flooded periodically, sometimes killing tens of thousands. What does this all tell you?

considering that humans have only been recording the weather for about 150 years, and the earth is at least millions of years old, i don't see how any blips in the "regular" weather trend points to global warming. sometimes it gets really really cold when it's normally hot, and vice versa. example: get an almanac, and flip thru to any random day in any decade and you will see there are extremes sprinkled through out.
