I have a possible situation where i have one kid who i know for a fact wants to beat me up, and i'm deffinate that he told all of his buddies about me. I have my own friends, but i know they won't always be around me to back me up. So what should i do if i find myself in a situation with 2 or more people?
(P.S. I already am a 1st Dan Black Belt in TSD, but i don't think i'm trained enough for this kind of situation)

Multiple attackers or attackers with weapons are the two most serious situations and ones that you may have to consider avoiding. I see from some of the answers here that is recommended and that is not bad advice although at school or work you can not always avoid everyone all the time. Be extra aware of your surroundings and who is around you so that you don't fall prey to some jerk and his friends cornering you. If by chance they do and you have to fight then take the one closest to you first and dispatch him quickly-if you are able to do that and there are only two or three then you have a chance. If not then you will be quickly overwhelmed and smothered or taken down. Try to keep moving and shifiting your body, head and face and you will pose a much harder target if this happens. Since you already practice martial arts why not start training for this kind of scenario now and develop your skills further and to a much higher level.

Another alternative is conveniently meet up with the other kid when his buddies are not around and see if the situation can be resolved. Many times they can but sometimes aren't because someone is afraid they may lose face in front of others. The worse that can happen with that is that nothing is resolved and you maybe get into a fight with him one-on-one then and there. The fact that he has told his buddies about you sounds like he is not sure of himself and wants to involve others in his problems or battles and indciates what level he may be operating on. On the other hand if the outcome is a peaceful resolution then you are further ahead and just need to continue to keep a watchful eye in case someone changes their mind.

I am a brown belt in a kung-fu dojo.
I have yet to encounter this situation. I would think twice in this situation, though. If you were in a situation with 2 or more and they attacked you first, you are within your rights to defend yourself. If that happens, try and keep both 'enemies' in front of you. If you cannot talk your way out, pick one attacker and stop him cold. Use aleg sweep to take him down fast and then konk him. Be yelling loudly all of the time when this happens.
Hopefully, if you can stop one, the others will fall back.
The best way is to avoid this situation entirely, though. Try and stay with friends or walk home with friends. Stay in lighted areas and where there are crowds.
Remember...a lot of what these idiots do is brag, but they won't back it up. I bet they don't try anything. It sounds like their bark is worse than their bite.
Talk to your sensei or instructor. ASk him or her what to do in this situation.
LOL.
P.S> Don't try a 'Chuck Norris' All of those shows where he takes out a bunch of men ina circle is a setup.

If your doing martial arts, then a few people are the same as one. Besides, have you ever heard that ''the first resort of a simple mind is violence''?
Maybe you should be the one helping him. My advice for when your in a situation with 2 or more people? Well.... depends. You could start doing something totally random, like pretending to go insane, that'd cause a few eyebrows, or distract the peoples with something......

Why does he want to beat you up anyways? If it comes down to it, then look at the dude right in the eye, and tell him to F**K off, with a tone and body language that takes no s**t. Practice in front of a mirror, or somesuch, yeah. If that doesn't work, then look like your gonna beat the s**t out of anyone who gets near you. If that doesn't work then run.

If that doesn't work, and you can't find a way to get out of there, then I think the option"defending myself with extreme ferocity" may be explored. You might want to bash them up or get bashed up for various reasons. Whatever, remember that your a Martial artist, and try not to do anything.......well, stupid.

Almost everyone who just receives their black belt questions their ability, believe me you can handle this situation. Its true, if a couple of guys approach you, You will notice a few of them will look at the ground, you don't need to worry about them, the one doing the talking or who is closer to you is the one you take out, the rest won't do sh*t. Some common sense will work too. Try to make it a point to have a friend or two around you at all times. Trying to find out why the kid wants to beat you up in the first place, maybe (most likely) its something stupid that you can resolve. Another idea is try spreading a rumor that 4 or more of your friends are going to jump him. Make him the victim and walk around nervous.

You have to have endurance to win so do your road work. You are a black belt so you should be able to fight against 2 but if it's more than 2 then pick up something and hit hard without reservation, they will run when 1 or 2 fall hard.

Anticipate where they will choose to wait for you and do not go there. There really is nothing so important that a kid needs to do that it would be worth getting hurt for.
The most devastating defeat in their minds will be going home knowing they were set up to not get the fight they thought they were guaranteed.
Otherwise - always be halfway between any two of them while watching the next nearest and sensing when to duck out from between. Or, you could just call the police or stay home.

You having a blackbelt will be held accountable for your actions.

Talk to your instructor at your TSD school and find out what you can do about it.

I am a 2nd Dan in TKD. I found out you take out the leader of the pack the rest will usually run.

Run. Sorry, but anyone who thinks they can take more than 2 (or 3 if they are tiny) people at a time has been watching too many movies. Don't fight him unless you have as many people as he does. The best way to deal with this is to beat him down when he's alone. Establish that you can whoop his *** (assuming you can) and tell him everything his friends do to you, you're going to do to him.

If it's one or two. Stay and fight...if your really a black belt. Not trying to doubt you, just a lot of people claim a lot of bull....

If there is 3 or more RUN!!! They will tackle you together, and beat you up...together.
Life is not like in the movies where they attack one at a time.

Wow... some of the other advice has been HORRIBLE.

heres what you should do

Run away.
If there's more than one person against you, run away. Don't try some stupid **** you saw in a kung-fu movie, it won't work, just GTFO of there.

"But what if I can't escape"
You can escape. Seriously, unless you happen to be wandering down a dark dead end alley, you will be able to escape. If they somehow form an elaborate plan for circling you and cutting off all escape routes (they won't), charge the weakest kid, and run through the path he was blocking. If you don't have a lot of running endurance, just go somewhere public.
