I counted toddlers, because toddlers are going to eat. I had a sit down served meal though, maybe different if you're going to have a buffet. But I made sure to count anyone who was going to eat. A 5 month old isn't going to eat a meal, but a 3 year old is, even if it's just one of the kid meals.

actually, you really don't need a child count for the wedding. you will for the reception. (as long as your wedding site can accomodate a few extra people). you'll need to call the place where you're having the reception... & inquire about the child's menu. that's when you'll decide which ages will want an adult or child's meal. of course children will need to have a place setting @ the table with their parents... so be sure to account for all guests in your seating chart.

Anybody who gets a chair and a meal is generally counted. As the wedding gets closer and the rsvps are counted, you can let the caterer/venue know how many kids meals you'll need.

I agree that anyone who is going to be served a meal should be counted. Check with your caterer about a discount on the kids meals too.

Ask your caterer. They are the ones that need to know the most, I would think. Along with seating arrangements. it depends on how many people you want sitting! LOL!
