listening to any form of music is ok as long as your conscience is clear while you do it when you start feeling guilty about it, it is God telling you it is time to stop.
But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin. Romans 14:22 - 23
here it is talking about meat but it can be applied to anything you are deciding to do including the music you listen to

ok, to make it clear, i consider myself an atheist Goth. I don't like Lady Gaga's music, but I have nothing against her. I adore Marilyn Manson, the person himself and the band. It never fails to annoy me when people say it's sinful to listen to songs with such meanings. It makes me so angry that people will let their religion rule their interests and in the end, their lives. They are missing so much. The meanings displayed in Marilyn Manson's lyrics are very relevent and many can relate to them. They also expose the many flaws of the christian religion and the life rules implied by it. Don't let your religion rule you and your interests, go your own way! Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, this is mine.

Absolutely not! Listening to Marilyn Manson is NOT sinful. Not only is his music artistic expression, but social commentary. Back in the 70's people who didn't understand his music thought that listening to Alice Cooper was bad/a sin. (Please, tell me you know who Alice Cooper is!) I've been listening to and going to Alice Cooper concerts since I was 13 (I'm now 46), and I'm doing just fine. So, relax and enjoy.

I struggled with that for a while when I was a teen. Even my mother who saw me wearing a T shirt of theirs who wasnt a Christian knew it was wrong before I did.
The problem even if it is not sinful, at the very least its a stumbling block to other believers.

He's a person just like you. If he were singing about God in his songs Christians would like him. Don't feel bad, they only fear what they can't control: Marilyn Manson.

When you're a Christian everything that's fun is sinful. Start thinking rationally and realize there is no god. You'll feel a lot better.
