I don't! Truth be none Jesus despised religious leaders. Jesus does not approve of this monster they call the Catholic Church. The way I see it is if you want to be Catholic and say you are the true faith than so be it. I won't lose a second of sleep over the fact that the Pope or any other catholic nut says me as a non-catholic Christian is not of the true church. I am glad I do not belong to the whore Babylon false church. What you think about that???

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the Pope speaks for God. But he is the leader of the Catholic Church which provides a lot of historical context even for Protestant religions today. I think the Pope is to be respected for leading a life of poverty in the church, but he clearly overstepped his bounds today and made a foolish statement that is best left to God. It demonstrates the Pope is only human too.

Christ did not despise religious leaders nearly as much as He despised lawyers (Pharisees and Sadducees). Salvation is a gift of God, and the lawyers of the Mosaic Law lost sight of this and determined that salvation is achieved by blindly following and adhering to the Law. The Law was only meant to provide infrastructure for how a nation is to live and how it governs its people. It is not a road to salvation and never was. Sometimes folks cannot see the forest because so many trees are in their way, if you know what I mean.

Pharisees and Sadducees were so focused on the Law and making sure people followed it to the letter, they could not see that salvation and God's grace was never to be earned. Salvation and grace are free. It is the instruction and strict adherence to the letter and not to the Spirit that Christ had a problem with, never the church (unless, of course, the church breaks away from the Word of God and begins to march to its own beat and follow corrupt leaders).

They believe that what Jesus meant by "Ill give you the keys to the kingdom" to Peter is that he was the first pope and then a succession on down to today. The problem is we dont see that office of pope emerge in the early church. Jerusalem had a council and that was led by the Holy Spirit.

Most Christians believe that the 12 apostles were gifted and had such authority and weight in their message but we believed it died with them. The pope isnt an apostle, hes just another Christian like you and I.

So you are saying, that you never once said that Catholic's were the wrong church, and that they were going to go to hell.

Right, you, never thought for one moment that the Roman Catholic Faith was wrong, and that it's followers were going to go to hell.

Answer honestly, I bet you have. And if you have, that made you no different. So why are you so angry now? Is it because you were condemned? Doesn't feel so great does it? Maybe you should think before you condemn others!

Jesus said to Peter(and the other disciples) that whatever they bound on earth would be bound in heaven and whatever they loosen on earth would be loosened in heaven. So Peter was the ruler of the church and could do as jesus told him peter also said that linus would be the next pope and so that was bound in heaven and so it has gone on for 2000 years. Now, if you ask me if there has been a break in the line, i would say yes but peter and successors did have the power that jesus gave them.

No. Your historic past is undesirable. It replaced into no longer dying for everyone who translated it. in certainty, the Church needed it translated and is individually in charge for it is existence in over a dozen languages. The Jesuits have been unfastened to translate the bible into the language of despite the fact that peoples they have been spreading the wisdom too. And the Church had the Douay-Rheims executed in 1609. The six or so variations in English made till now then have been made in secret without permission of the Vatican. It replaced into no longer translating it that have been given people into hardship - it replaced into refusing to ask for permission. And so a techniques as i can tell, purely one person replaced into positioned to dying for translating it into English, and his version openly and promptly referred to as the pope the antichrist. And truthfully - how do you recognize he did no longer condemn it? basically like no longer each little thing Jesus reported replaced into written down interior the bible, no longer each little thing the popes have reported have been written down in encyclicals and bulls.

This is what confuses people and keeps us a part from loving one another in Christ, this is why atheist have no part with religion and they believe our God is just as mixed up,Proverbs 30:5- states that every word of God proves true, he defends ALL who comes to him for protection. It doesn't mention a religion or a single man, ALL who come to him.

John 21:15-17 states:

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."

He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."

He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep.

Matthew 16:17-19 states:

Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

The Catholic Church believes the Lord made Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the "rock" of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock.

The Pope is the senior pastor of 1.1 billion Catholics, the direct successor of Simon Peter.

The Pope’s main roles include teaching, sanctifying, and governing.
