At the high school I went to, regular classes were weighed at a 4.0, honors adds a point (5.0), and AP added 2 points (6.0), so I believe a 3.876 would be pretty good at that scale, but (strictly based on GPA alone) it's not going to get you into the best colleges or even the more prestigious public schools, but you're going to get into some good schools. So, whether it is truly good or not, it all depends on how your school scales your classes.

At the college I went to, all classes were on the 4.0 scale, so 3.876 was really good (like making all A's and just a few A- all four years). That would be graduating with the highest Latin honors there (summacum laude which was a 3.85 or above).

Anyway, study hard and keep up the good work!

On a 4.0 scale, it is very good. One of the other answers said that was as high a GPA as you could get, but I have to disagree. My college in southeast Nebraska --Peru State College-- had a 9.0 system (8 and 9 were equal to a 4.0 in other schools.), and on it a 4.0 was equal to a C average. Also, in my high school, the Salutatorian was immediately below the Valedictorian (not 2 steps below as yet another answer below said).

You're a Salutatorian, which is two levels under a Valedictorian.

Keep up the good work!

Also remember to take more challenging classes if you feel your courses are too easy. You don't want to go through life feeling like you missed out on something.

no you idiot, what are you stupid, a 3.876?? You won't be able to go to college with that...you might as well get now and just go an apply to the king of the whopper. No honey honestly, you have done well. enjoy your life with that GPA, don't take it to the head, but do when you apply to the best college you can, do your research, visit the school. GO STUDY ABROAD enjoy other cultures.

It all depends on the school. Grade inflation is pretty ridiculous at some places nowadays.
