Because these people are idiotic and all small dogs are anymore are fashion accesories, sadly.

I think it's just a confortable way for carring them around the city.... And animal generally feel very safe in them.... Antway try to think about it: if you have an hysteric cat and you wanna bring it to the vet, how can you carry it? Holding it in your arms? I don't think it would be a goodidea... and then he cuold get scared by all the noises of the street and get nervous. But if he's safe in your handbag, there are no problems... For people which carry them in those bags just for going around the city.... Well,accept they're ill, I think it's a bit stupid. They would look like Paris Hilton,.... And that's not a good thing! :-)

Well, there are many reasons to this rather common question to most guys. Most girls who have small breeds such as yorkies, chihuahuas, etc. etc. would maybe do this as a sense of style. Or it could be because they love their dogs so much they want them to go with them wherever they are and handbags are an easier way to carry them. Then there is the most reasonable answer is they just do it because it's comfortable and they just don't want to carry them. I hope this answers your predicament.

some people do it because many celebs and people like that have small dogs and do not want to walk them. One reason for this is because they walk at a quicker pace than the small dog and so they dont like to walk them. They think it is easier to put them in their bags because they dont want them to mess with other dogs and be slowed by their inconspicuous sniffing. and there are busy streets and stuff like that (at least there always are where they are in the movies) and what would happen if the doggie ran out into the middle of the road? That would be sad. Now, i think you could've figured that one out.

i think they feel its nice to walk around the town with them, i have small dogs, and i hate it when i see they dressed in dress etc, yes a dog needs a coat/jumper in the cold, but not a dress this is the same as a hand bag, they are not fashion items. They are dogs as a pet.

My cousin's cat likes climbing into her purse, but why little girl-girls carry them around with their mini-poodles sticking their heads out of the purse they spent 300 bucks on, I don't know.
There are practical reasons, like if its a little puppy or something and your afraid something will happen while your gone, but most of the time its just stupid girls trying to make their dogs look cute.

It's a fad. People think it's cool to have little dogs in purses...i feel bad for the dogs...

yes I think it is wrong too. I seen a dog on a tv court show get killed that way because the owner laid the bag on the ground and the big dog killed the little dog. sad.

to fill there bag out soo it looks like thay buy loads stuff , or soo if the dog needs to take a **** it can jus go in the bag coz your still taken the dog out 4 awalk rly init . but it is silly

To most people its really cute.
When your going into a store you cant just keep it in your arms if your shopping and you cant put them in a cart.
So you put them in your handbag.
Or if there not allowed sometimes to sneek their babies in.
Its even somewhat fashionable..
