You could try putting an ice pack on it. Although lavender and tea tree oil haven't done much to help my mozzie bites, I have read other people who've raved about the effectiveness of these essential oils, so they might work for you.

If you mean what can you do without using medicine? My great grandma taught me this when I was a kid: take your fingernail and press an "x' into the raised lesion. It will stop the itch right away.

This may burn a little at first but I rub alcohol on my mosq. bites. It takes away the itchy feeling.(rubbing alcohol-green)
