We were very poor. The alphabet soup my mum always bought had no vowels because it was cheaper that way. So I never made words.

We were poor so we always got the generic stuff and over half the letters were turned upside down or sideways so I never could make anything out of them except for poo the next day.

I always spelled mine and my brother's names, and then I used to spell random words, like pineapple (always took FOREVER but it kept me occupied), Jupiter, and whatever else popped into my head at the time.
It was also fun to just dip my spoon in and try to spell a word with whatever letters I ended up with.
