well i have 1 artichoke and i want to make a dip out of it but have like nothing in my fridge can i make it out off like mayo or somthing any recipe is graet!!!

I have a great one for super delicious spinach and artichoke dip

one can of artichokes
1/2 package of spinach
3/4 block cream cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mozzerella cheese
8 oz sour cream
1/2 mayonaisse
a couple of pinches of garlic salt
I use 1 cup of both cheeses I love cheese

shred artichokes and cook spinach mix all other ingredients and cook it at 325 for 20 to 30 minutes usually takes 25 on my oven

It is always rather popular at my parties and everyone always asks for me to make it for gatherings! Good luck.

Al Roker's Artichoke Dip Recipe

1 can artichoke hearts, mashed
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 dash garlic powder
1 dash hot sauce

Mix together and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.

I cant tell you how to make an artichoke dip but I can give you some hints on how to make a Tootsie Roll. Or maybe a Ne High, or an egg plant.

Delicious Artichoke Dip

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained
1/2 cup minced red onion
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, Parmesan cheese and onion. When these ingredients are combined, mix in artichoke hearts, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Transfer mixture to a shallow baking dish.
Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until light brown on top.


OR

Cheesy Artichoke Dip

INGREDIENTS
2 (8 ounce) packages frozen artichoke hearts
1 1/2 cups fat-free cottage cheese
4 ounces herbed goat cheese (chevre)
4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup light mayonnaise
1/3 cup fat-free half-and-half
1 cup chopped chives
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook artichokes according to package directions; chop roughly. Set aside.
In a food processor, mix all ingredients except artichokes and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
Stir in artichokes. Pour mixture into a 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake for 30 minutes. If top hasn't browned, put under broiler.
Let sit for 15 minutes before serving (it may be watery when first removed from the oven). Serve with toasted whole-wheat pita chips.

OR

Best Ever Hot Artichoke Dip

INGREDIENTS
2 (6.5 ounce) jars marinated artichoke hearts, chopped
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
In a shallow baking dish combine the artichoke hearts, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and mayonnaise. Bake for 45 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with almonds if desired. Serve hot with tortilla chips or crackers.

you really do want to use canned artichoke hearts (not marinated in oils and flavors) to make dip. i would recomend just steaming the 1 artichoke and adding a bit of lemon and tabasco to your mayo for dip.
