First Cavity?

Question

last week i went to the dentist and they said i have a cavity and there going to have to fill it in. So tomorrow i have that done.. i'm all nervice what should i do lol?

As a former dental assistant I can assure you that you are not the first nervous person that has gone into your dentist's office. They will work with you to make you calmer if you let them know that you have anxieties about the filling.
You will probably have an injection to numb the tooth they are working on. It feels like a pinch in your gum and then quickly feels numb. At that point they will start to drill the decay out of the cavity. Depending on where in your mouth the tooth is they will either put in a composite filling (matches your teeth) or an amalgam filling (silver). They will pack the material into the tooth and then buff it so it is smooth.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it? Now brush more often and more carefully. ;-)

Its Easy i had four of my cavitys field in All The do is put oral gel for where they are going to put the shot but the oral gel numbs it u wont feel it. Then they wait till the shot made ur mouth numb and start working on it. Start to drill but ur numb and cant feel nothing and if it is one it will be done in ten minutes. Believe me i was nervous had my mom go in with me but it was nothing. Its A Peice of Cake!!!!!!!!!!!! Take Care!!!!!!!

Use the gas that they offer you feel like you drank a six pack in two minutes. No really it helps with my nerves and i am not doped up and can still drive home i have had a lot of them filled and i still use the gas.

My first cavity they didn't give me novicane. and it HURT BADLY!!! My 2nd and 3rd cavities were on both sides of my mouth and i did get novicane. that hurt too especially afterwards. i suggest not getting novicane because it will be over soon even though it will hurt like hell.

ask for gas and not paid what so ever.
and then be compiant with cleaing and stop the candy
