I am having new pc built and want to know if Microsoft Windows Professional x64 is worth the bother since in 2005 it was not compatible with certain software that has their own driver (dll)? Would I truly gain any significant power?

no u do not need or want xp professional 64 bit edition, there is limited driver support, and not very many programs for it. just get 32 bit edition.

no u cant? as a results of fact the version of dos differences in abode windows xp. the answer is that if u have partation on u r HDD the deploy abode windows ninety 8 on different partation and boot u r comp from win ninety 8 and start up off u r dos prog.
