I just found tiny worms in my 50 lb. rice bag (ewww...), and they seem to be multiplying quite steadily. Should I just toss the bag and get a new one? Or is there some way to get rid of them?

Toss it those are maggots and they will start to infest other foods quickly if you don't. Also to prevent it from happening again store rice in a plastic tub.

Worms in rice? Too late already to try saving them. Toss it out. Sorry, but they can't be got rid of if they're already there.

Try keeping rice in a cool, dry place. That might prevent future insect attacks from re-worming your rice.

50 lbs. of rice is a lot of rice. I would return it to the place of purchase. If that did not work, I would toss it.

How much do you weigh?

If more than 50 lb, toss the rice bag.

If not, drive the worms by keeping it for hours in bright hot sun

light.

Or give it away to someone who is ready to take it & who

knows this technique.

Why not keep me

as your consultant now & then ? : )
