You would be losing water weight not actual mass. It is not good to starve your body of proper balanced nutrition because whatever you eat food your body will store it as fat since it does not know when it will next eat so you are working at cross purposes.

i'd say none. a week is not long. besides, if you are thinking about eating salads, that probably means adding some kind of dressing on, which means a whole lot of calories. Try eating what you are eating on right now, but in smaller controlled portions. add to that a healthy cardio workout. that doesn't sound to hard does it? i think that should make a difference in your weight for the following week. not much, but more than the salad idea.

just because they eat only salad doesn't mean they will lose weight. you got to thing that it depends what they are. if they have dressing and all the good stuff they aren't healthy and the person would not lose weight. also, they are too many variables in this. depends on how big the person is, how much they eat, how much activity they get. you can't answer this question

The exercise you are supposed to do will do as much good as salads. Eat a smaller amount of normal food and exercise.
