Funny, I just heard the almost all "atheists" don't believe in GOD. When you generalize like this you may very well be accused of generalization and bigotry.
2. The term Christian is so easily misinterpreted, that it's precise definition has been lost even to "MOST" demographic statistician's.
3. The Bible as you quoted it, has also lost it's purposeful meaning. Do you mean the Jewish Bible, the Koran, or The Good Book of Joseph Smith? These seems to be the main versions in use in the United States. There are so many lesser versions, that it's unsure even they can all be identified.
4. What translation are you using. The living Bible often uses easier language to encourage people to read it; While others are written in the original Greek and Hebrew languages. i.e. Many Christians believe the English language version of Matthew 28 (great commission)"Go yea into the world, yada, yada, yada, but actually in the Greek it's format is a first person imperative, which better translates into English as: As you go into the world...
Demographers, often report 98% of Americans believe that there is a GOD. Again, What God or is it Gods?
5. To more accurate, reports of "Christians" having troubles with marriage is probably corrrect, if you understand what i've said above. Or is it that reporting those troubles are more accurate, than in other people groups?
6. If you live under the Law, then you are committed to adhering to the law. But if you believe that you live under the NEW COVENANT of the New Testament, then you live under Grace. Which means that you don't live because you have too, but because you want too, and that you desire a relationship with God, rather than a King/Pheasant exsistance.
7. My ramblings, by now, should also show you that there are many inturpetations of what you believe and how you live.
I think it's part of something called diversity. Please be more specific in your next question. I assure you that my anwser will be much shorter.

Going by christian beliefs its because everyone is full of sin and everyone does sin. We are not perfect. The reason more crimes are committed by religious people is because they fight for what they believe in and you can believe in god and not be a Christian. Yes you are right that people who call themselves Christians are always committed to living the way the bible states.

It is because we have choices to follow the word or stray from it the Bible is the way the truth and the light we are born in sin and must learn to depart from it and we have a life time to get it together following the word helps but other things in this world are also present which make the above problems come into play

I don't know that I would say almost all...I would say some....
When I was in college I worked in the customer service center of a grocery store. They hired this guy who told the manager that he couldn't work Friday evening from sundown to Saturday evening at sundown as he was a Seventh Day Adventist. As time went on we all noticed that he used a lot of profanity, talked about getting drunk, and repeatedly came to work with hickeys all over his neck. Also on Sundays he would talk about the parties that he had went to on Saturday nights. He was indeed a Seventh Day Adventist, but he was away from home for the first time in college and he wasn't exactly living the life that he said he did. That has always left a lasting impression on me of what *some* christians are like.

AS a christian I hate the fact that it is true that the divorce rate etc is higher among those who believe in christ and it indictes to me that even christians fail in understanding the call to be a chirst follower.
Many times people and christians in particular make christianity out to be a super magic process where by people will become perfect in their actions and thoughts. But it takes many peopel a long tiem to grow into accepting God as their control.
While it is A primary call of the christian faith to live your life above sin and mature into being a more godly and righteous person who seeks to place others before themsleves just as christ and the father did, it is not the very heart of the message of the gospel..
Chrisitanity is not primarily and first about getting it right . The message of the christ is that to be made right with our creator we must admit that WE have and WILL GET IT WRONG AND THAT NOTHING WE CAN DO WILL SAVE US FROM OUR SINFUL SELVES and that God has to pay the price of his own innocent death ( via in the form of his son in the flesh) as justice demands.
Christians should be the first to say "I screwed up and contgiue too only God can save me" .
Then they should get on with their sincere attempt to honor god and his forgivness by livinig a right acting life that by seeking to place others before themsleves just as christ did in his death.
does that help?? i think the issue is tha peopole forget that teh call to christ is call to admit that you are a screw up

Maybe. No one is without sin. We all can become weak and start living in the world instead of in the word. Being a Christian is not an automatic fix for all life's problems. Its a journey during which your lifestyle begins to change.

Maybe because the devil doesn't feel threatened by the non-believers.
Who is more a threat to the devil, christians of course.
So why not attack them, attempt to ruin their lives and deteriorate the church?
I'm sure that makes absolutely no sense to non believers, but the believers will totally understand.

They honor God with their lips but their heart is far from him.
Most Christians think they know the bible but they really do not know it.
Yes
A real Chritians does this:
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

Don't take for granted stupidity people repeat to you...real and search your questions. Christians live as per the NEW TESTAMENT not the whole bible.
For 2000 years the middle East has never been in peace..China has its good share of bloody massacre....Christians do not hold any record in commiting crimes.

Its called sin. I do the best I can but I am never going to be perfect but I can only do my best to please God but Yup I screw up and I do it daily. You have to remember alot of people call themselves Christians but anyone can do that. You need to judge people that call themselves christians by their actions. But also keep in mind they are humans and we all fall to temptation. Just because someone goes to church on Sunday means nothing...its how they act Monday through Saturday but again we are all sinners and can do our best to try to do what is right. YOu need to remember also that Satan himself believes in God. Just believing means nothing.
