Who makes the best electric guitar stings?

Also is it best to buy the strings the guitar brand I have makes or does it not matter?

There are so many good brands out there, and there are probably some new ones that I'm not even aware of, Your best bet would be to go or call the Guitar Center, or Sam Ash and ask them. You forgot to say what the name of your guitar was. It doesn't matter what strings that you put on your electric guitar, (just not nylon) it does pay to buy decent ones, you can pay anywhere from $15.00 - $50.00, most people spend around fifteen to twenty. Some guitars require the ball ends, others have to have a knot, like my classical guitar does. When in doubt always call the Guitar Center their very good on advising you, most of them play themselves. Good Luck to you, Bye.

You don't need to buy strings that are the same brand as your guitar. In fact, most guitar manufacturers purchase strings from one of the small number of string makers. IMO, the best brands of strings are:

Ernie Ball
GHS
D'Addario
Dean Markley

I personally use D'Addario XL120+ strings, and have done so since around 1987. I use them on my Fender USA Standard Strat, and my Epiphone Olympic Single.

the closest you gets is to get an octave pedal. It wont sound precisely like a bass, yet like i suggested, approximately as close as you gets with an electric powered guitar.
