I think you can still visit territories of the US without a passport -- they aren't really different countries, but they feel like different countries. Places like Puerto Rico or Guam, for example. (-: Heck, some people still think Alaska and Hawaii are foreign countries.

As far i know as a world traveling experience i am sure that after 911 there is no country that allows any USA citizen to travel without your passport.even up till last year we as a US citizen were allowed to travel to Canada without any passport,and same with the Canadians,but now you must have a passport where ever you want to travel outside the USA.and watch if Alqaida type terrorists,will not be wiped out we might need to get in our own neighbor hood with a valid passport,as a second identity beside driver's license,as banks need two ids to cash the checks.

You can still travel to Canada and Mexico by land without a passport but it's only temporally.

none since January 1,2007.you were allowed to travel back and forth from Canada and Mexico up until this year without a passport.
