Leviticus 20:22 - God tells the Jewish people that if they did not keep his rules, he would vomit them out. And they did not keep his rules.

Matthew 21:42 & 43 - The Jewish people reject the conerstone and the kingdom of God was taken away.

Romans 9: 6-8 - Not all who are descended from israel are Israel. It is not ethnic Jews who are the children of God, but the children of the promise."

Some Christians are Supersessionists (Replacement Theology). Typically, Reformed Churches hold to a form of Supersessionist Theology (Covenant Theology is another name for what Reformed believe). They believe that the Church has replaced Israel as the people of God.

Dispensationalists do not believe that God has permanently replaced the Jewish people as the Chosen and look for a restoration of them as a people. For them, the Church is distinct from Israel.

Jews were God's people, and when Jesus came to Earth, God was trying to send his people help. Some people believed Jesus and the fact that he was God's son. Others didn't. This created a division between Christians and Jews.

Therefore, when you think about it, all christians are Jews. Except a "modern version" that changed the religion along with the newer miracle of Jesus. Where as the Jews are still based on the older miracle of Abraham and Mosses.

Jesus was a Jew, and I would have been too if I lived at that time. But now there is the righter choice, and the reason why we know its the righter choice is because Jesus proved it to us. He committed miracles and preached about his father. If you can't believe the stories you have heard of Jesus, then you just don't have the holy sprirt in you! Thats the bottom line.

Now after the split between the two, Christians regarded Jews as people who basically backstabbed God. When someone gives you help, you don' tturn your back and refuse, which is what we christians believe the jews did. We also believe that God has spoken to numerous individuals telling them how he is disappointed in the Jews.

It is not replacement theology.Israel was always a mixed multitude.Research the lineage of the prophets. They were Believers. The Gospel was rejected by the Jews and by 70ad it was all over for them.Christians are the chosen ones.Read Gal.3 and Hebrrews. Then read John 8 and Rev.2:9 about Jews.Christian zionists are the ones deceiving the world on that one.And Jesus was not a Jew.

I personally believe this. I'd have to do some research as to what the Catechism says on this. However, there is the "New Jerusalem" which comes down from HEAVEN adorned and prepared as a BRIDE for teh BRIDEGROOM we see this in the Gospel that JESUS IS THE BRIDEGROOM and the CHURCH is the BRIDE. And of course the stone which teh builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE . ..

Therefore it seems pretty clear that the Catholic Church is the New Israel . .. because the covenant of GOD that was with the Jews is now in the Catholic Church . .. Where the Ark of the Covenant was a sense perceptible sign of the presence of GOD among the Hebrews . .. the sense perceptible sign of GOD among us today is THE HOLY EUCHARIST . .. MOTHER MARY is the ARK of that COVENANT BODY AND BLOOD . ..

Not necessarily substituted as the Jews were supposed to come to the new Covenant, but all people have been offered this new covenant . .. Not just Jews . ..

So not really substituted, but chosen to fulfill the new and everlasting covenant prefigured in the Covenant with Moses . ..

-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

romans 11:25 tells us,
"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;

that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

b/c the jews rejected their Messiah 2000 years ago ... they were blinded in part to the fact that Jesus was their Messiah.
this hardening of israel is only partial b/c even now there is a remnant of believing jews. this situation will continue until the time when the gentiles have been given sufficient opportunity & God decides it's time to deal w/ the jews again. this time will be at Jesus 2nd coming when Jesus & His saints appear at the mount of olives to show the jews His nail scarred hands & feet, & His pierced side. at that time, the veil will be lifted from their eyes & they will know that Jesus was their Messiah 2000 years ago, as He is now.

this being God's plan allowed the Gospel message to be preached to the Gentiles (us). this way, salvation was made available to everyone.

all who are born-again are made "spiritual jews"....
therefore, we are also His "chosen people".

as far as romans 9:6-8 goes ...
the entire book of romans, chap. 11 especially, shows that God chooses those who respond to Him in faith. salvation comes by God's election & God's grace, but man receives God's election & grace through his faith (rom.3:22-24; eph.2:8-9).
God initiates the salvation process by extending an offer to everyone (rom. 10:11-13, 11:32),
but He elects only those who respond in faith.

God's plan is so amazing.
praise ye the LORD!!

No! That is a heretical theology called replacement theology. GOd will keep His promises to Isreal. He will regather them at the end of the tribulation and they will reign with him during the Millenium. The Jews that have accepted CHrist through the ages and during the Tribulation will also be blessed with eternal life in Heaven. God also said in the Bible that He is the enemy of any nation that is an enemy to Isreal.

One is a physical example of the other...First came the law and then grace... The First promise physical the second spiritual...When God created man he made him first physical the spiritual...First the tree of knowledge of good and evil then the tree of life...first Esau then Jacob...First the phaysical manna from heaven then the spiritual manna from heaven....
