I crate my dog, too. Some dogs just don't like it. BUT you are supposed to let the dog gradually get used to it. My dog's crate comes apart in 2 pieces: top and bottom. I took it apart, and put a treat in it. And told her "good girl" over and over when she'd go in. It was very open, no door. She got used to that. Coming and going and eating treats in it (reinforcing that it's a nice place).
Then you can put the pieces together to make the crate more whole, but leave the door open. Put a treat in and praise again whenever she goes in.
I guess you get the idea. It would've been good to have her gradually get used to it. You can probably still work on her with it.

She is probably nervous since she's at a new home. I think it would be best to let her stay out of the cage for a little while so she can get used to her new home, but if you don't want to do that, I would just let her stay in there until she's used to it. When I got a dog she did the same thing, and one thing someone told me that helps is putting a clock by her cage because the ticking sound is similar to the sound of her mother's heartbeat. A puppy acting like that is completely normal, so don't worry. She'll get used to it soon and you'll have a wonderful puppy!

As with people, puppies do not like to be in jail. Most will never quit screaming and hollering. Try to fix up another place for her. Go to Walmart and go to the baby dept. and buy a child's gate and fence off an entire area, like the kitchen so she won't be in such a small place. Of course give her lots of water and toys. A put down some piddle pads.

When you're home, leave the door of the cage open and put treats or her favorite toy in there so she'll learn its ok to be in there. Let here venture in the cage on her own and get use to the cage. After so long, she'll get use to the idea of being in there and it won't be a problem when she's in there.

Try putting a towel or blanket over the cage but leave the front exposed. Give her a chew toy also and plenty of water. When you get home praise and play with her for being a good and brave dog.

try getting a metal fence and put the cage inside of the small fence and she might go in or maybe she is attached to people and you should try putting her in rooms where there are no people and slowly and gradually end up putting her in the cage...

People seem to forget there are alternatives to cages. I'd sugggest using them before your neighbours flip out too.

it does sound like the Spanish Inquisition is in there doesnt it??!!! Try putting a soft light blanket over the crate - so it covers the door to.A sheet also works well.It imitates the "den" feeling so they feel safe. Also each time she starts sounding like someone is pulling out her claws - dont "rescue" or respond to her.She will use that to get attention.

My Aunt likes to put the TV on for her dog because she is just like yours obviously. She goes CRAZY when my Aunt isn't around her. Your dog needs to hear someone talking to make it calm down, to also make it think that you are with it. It's a big seperation ordeal!
