Why is this wrong? Because God does exist, whether or not you believe He does nor not. This is your choice, and you have made that choice. Believe it or not, fully 90% of the WORLD's population actually DO believe in God or "a god".. a supreme being. That leaves you, my dear, in a minority.
Just think of God as the "Sasquatch" creature. Some people believe that Sasquatch exists... they have SEEN it... they see it's tracks, etc. etc. etc. The "Believers" tell you, HE LIVES, HE EXISTS... but the "scientific community" has no physical evidence whatsoever ... no bones, no "dwellings," no nothing!! And others, who do not believe, say, "You are FOOLS and IDIOTS to believe that there is a Sasquatch!"
Now... someday, way down the time-line, Sasquatch stands up and says, "I think it's about time to show everyone that I actually DO exist." And out he walks from the woods, down the road, and right to the town square, takes a microphone and starts growling and grunting, and says, "HERE I AM... I am real!"
Now... those who believed he existed all along have been TELLING you, and say, "SEE??? What did we tell you? Sasquatch EXISTS!!!" You, as an unbeliever, look at the Sasquatch with your jaw hitting the ground and say, "OH MY SASQUATCH!!! YOU DO EXIST!!!"
Of course, with God, the "consequences" of your unbelief can be "significant" for you, which Christians have been telling you for years now. But they have also been telling you, "Hey, if you DON'T believe, that's your choice! But we love you so much that we don't want to see you suffer the consequences of that choice." That's where most of the "anti-Christians" get upset and start name-calling.
Well... I do hope this explains the Christian position on the matter. Have a blessed day!

Wrong, hmmm. I would not say it it wrong. The only way I can answer your question is that "if" I murdered some one and I stand before the judge. Would he let me go if I said I was sorry. No
The same problem with God. If you are braking the Ten Commandments God can't let you go. There has to be some one to pay your fine.
It would be wrong for me not to tell you.

"Wrong" is not the point here. It is all about the rationality of god-talk. One can be "wrong" without being irrational. One can believe incorrectly without being irrational. There are many examples of both.
Having said that, you may be offered a rational set of theses about why one should believe in god, and at that point you may be called upon to provide challengers to those theses. How well you are able to do that *is* a measure of the rationality of your belief.

In America, you have every right to that belief. I, as a Christian, have no right to hassle you about your beliefs. We do have the right to discuss the idea, debate it, etc.
Yet, it is wrong if you take the Bible as your source of truth.
I suggest that you read a book or two on the legitimacy of the Bible. Examples of such books are "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell and any of the "A Case for..." books by former atheist Lee Strobel. He set out to research for the reasons to disprove the Bible's claims, but he became a Christian as a result of his research. "A Case for Christ", "A Case for Faith" and a few others are in this series.

There's nothing wrong you believe on what you want to believe there's people who try different religions to sort of "check them out" and stick to one after I don't know if you would like to do that.

Christians believe that eternal life is through the Son of God. If you don't believe in God, we understand from the Bible that you cannot go to heaven. Even if I don't know you, I don't want that to happen to you.

No, there isn't anything wrong with that. You believe in what you can, not what some one El's try to push on you. Feel free to be free. The truth.

It's not wrong. Just some people THINK it is. But don't let them bother you too much. You can't change their opinion and they probably can't change yours. But some people feel the need to press their beliefs onto others. These people are crazy. They need years of therapy to help them see that what's in their head isn't necessarilly the way of the world(cure their narcissism). Something on Yahoo answers isn't gonig to do it.

Believe what you want, at heart I know I'm right, but I will not discredit, or attack your beliefs. God gave you the ability to believe what you want, and your constitution guarantees it.
Enjoy
