Most of the things everybody else said is good. What is very important is working on good study habits. In medical school you have to learn and retain an incredible amount of information. Everything to do with medicine is very competitive. You need to test and challenge yourself by taking the more advanced classes.

Some people aren't able to learn at a fast enough rate to be successful in medical school. There isn't much they can do about it.

But If you are serious about being a Doctor than I would study during the summer. It isn't enough just to pass your courses the information needs to be retained. So really learning brushing up on the things you learned in school can be a big help.

Go to your public library and see if they have any study guides for the MCAT test. That is the big test you have to take after finishing your pre-med classes. How well you do on that test determines if you will get into medical school. The study guide will be too advanced for you. But it will allow you what kind of things will be on the test.

These are some of the things they test for on the MCAT. You need to study hard and do well in your English classes too.

Basically, just study hard and get good grades. Stay out of trouble, avoid the lure of drugs and alcohol. If you have an opportunity to do community service, take it.

Junior high is way too early to start specializing in your course work. You should try to be well-rounded in your education.

Take lots of math and science for now, and depending on what kind of doctor you want to be, take more physics and chemistry in high school.
