No alters, but a beautiful room for me and my family to go to during prayer. I often go there to meditate on my day, what I have done, if I have hurt anyone, if I was a good person. I read the Quran there. As a Muslim there is no need for special places because prayer can be done anywhere, but this is my little resort. My alter is in my heart , in which I have captured Allah, his Prophets and all of Islams teaching. To worship Allah I look in my heart and I find light, I use that light to give off a vibe of peace to everyone.

Peace and blessing to you and yours.

I am a Wiccan, specifically a Green Witch. I DO have an altar that is Always set up, in fact several. My Main Altar is where I conduct my worship rituals. on it are: pentacle, 3 candles, incdense burner, Statue of Goddes, statue of God, bowl of salt, bowl of water, and Athame. I have feathers and flowers strewn over it as well. My other altars ore for the Elemenatls of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water and I have a canlde on each and stones and feathers and herbs particular to those elementals. I also have a Healing Altar that I use for preparing my herbal remedies, on that is a Candle, Mortar and Pestle, bottle of Vodka for making tinctures, several bottles and jars for making tinctures (It's flowering season here so that's why that stuff is out), a cutting board and my Boline for chopping herbs.

I'm a Norse Folktru Reconstructionist Heathen, and yes, I have an *altar* at home.

It's a low table made for me by a heathen couple---he does the woodwork, she does the artwork---and decorated with historical and personal symbols significant to my beliefs.

On it are a candle, oath ring, antler, boar's tusk, handmade sporran won by skill at arms, drinking horns, hlautbolli (offering bowl), various stones and shells and mementos of the past, and a vial of soil from the grounds of the Alamo.

My worship is by ritual prayer and offerings of fire and mead.

My wife is Wiccan and I am pagan. We have three or four altars in and around our home. Her main indoor altar contains candles, incense, a chalice, various stones, herbs, and other tools of worship.

We have a couple of quiet garden spots for quiet meditation and reflection. There are various holy or "charged" geographic locations near our home.

But above all, we have all the earth, who is a living being, and who gives life to us all, who sustains us. A practising pagan or Wiccan is never "outside" of a place of worship.

I have two altars. My main one is of my guru Amma and Kali. The other altar is of Krishna. I mainly worship at my main altar. I do the 108 names of Mata Amritanandamayi, Sri Lalita Sahasranama (The Thousand Names of Divine Mother) and a few Sanskrit prayers.

No I do not have an Alter. Only the Churches or Synagogue have Alters. I live in a nice house, not a Church or Synagogue. Alters of Respect to God needs to be where it belongs. In a Church or Synagogue.

I created a meditation garden where I included the plants mentioned in Christ parables as well as other Biblical plants, and fragrant herbs and flowers. I love to sit there and read, pray or simply reflect.
