The reason I would ask a girl to marry me is because she's all I ever want to be with ... I want to spend the rest of my days on this earth with her by my side at all times, and a ring wouldnt even have to represent our eternal love.
The reason I would ask a girl to marry me because I believe in true love.

Why? Cause marriage is a big part of being in a loving relationship. As far as I am concerned, sex is for marriage. Therefore getting marriage opens the doors to sex, and even more than that a life together as one person. Being in a relationship, whether girlfriend/boyfriend or married are not simply about a physical relationship, but also about the mental and spiritual connection both people have together. Don't get me wrong, the physical relationship is crucial to a good relationship; but in the end (imaginitively) while my girls on her death bed, I'm not gonna be on top of her having sex, I'm gonna be holding her in my arms and crying as she goes; and than years later continue to feel her love in my heart. So many guys (and girls) overlook what love really is. They replace it with a physical sensation that is undescribable, but when that sensation includes love; it is even more powerful and undescribable. I would propose to my girlfriend if I felt we could make it together, if I wanted to be with her forever, if we could be together faithfully, and such as that. We would most importantly have to work together to make us work through the years, but also know it has the potential to work if we make it work as we do now.

I would not want a woman who did not want to be married. There is a sense of commitment and stability brought by marriage that I just adore. If a woman cannot make such a commitment, how can I trust she will be faithful and is a responsible adult.
I hope to be someday totally in love and married to a woman who I can pamper and be best friends with. Its not about sex with me. I want all the little things.

It depends on what the situation will be. More than likely I won't ask her parents first. It's actually her decision to marry me, and she's old enough to make her own decisions first. I would be disgusted if she said anything like "I love you so much.. but my parents don't like the idea of us being together". or something along those lines. It would be her job to set them straight and stand up for herself, not mine. I will love HER, but I have to respect her parents.. right?

I think every guy wants to start a family at one point in his life. When they get as old as 40 he won't have a girlfriend let alone any sex. And his family members will make fun of him alot. So there you go

If I really love the girl, I would ask her to marry me. Here's my take on the cow with a better quote. You need to put a dollar in the vending machine if you want a coke.

Good question. How do you know you want to spend your entire life with anyone? That's absurd! People grow and change, get evil and mean. That's what happens to most marriages. Why does anyone want to get married?

well, i'm a christian, and i read the bible. it talks a lot about marriage, and i've thought about it. when you are married, you are one, you have authority over your spouses body as do they over yours. when you aren't married and you do that thing, the bible said it was wrong and unholy. i totally agree. I believe that a person marries someone else because they truly love them and want to spend the rest of their lives with them
