Hot Dog Pie
INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
4 hot dogs , cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 (15 ounce) can vegetarian baked beans
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
2 ounces Cheddar cheese, cubed
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
4 slices processed American cheese
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie shell
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Bake empty pie shell for 10 minutes.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, stirring occasionally to crumble; drain fat. Stir in hot dogs, beans, ketchup, mustard, taco seasoning, and cheese cubes. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Spread beef mixture into baked pie shell. Cut American cheese slices into strips, and make a lattice on top of pie.
Bake for 5 to 10 minute, or until cheese is slightly melted.

Wrap a hot dog in a Pillsbury Crescent Roll.
This is a recipe straight off the label:
1.Slit 8 hot dogs within 1/2 inch of ends. Insert 3 thin strips American cheese in each slit.
2.Wrap 1 Crescent dough triangle around each dog.
3.Bake on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up, at 375 for 12-15 minutes or til golden brown.
Very delicious, and better than a bun!

I just saw this on 30 min meals last night and it looks like a good idea to do. I would also doa search on foodnetwork they have may different recipes using hotdogs or just hotdogs.
Sloppy joe dimaggio
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 pounds lean ground sirloin or ground turkey
1 packages beef or pork hot dogs, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon steak seasoning (recommended: Montreal Steak Seasoning by McCormick)
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (14.5-ounce) can tomato sauce
9 soft burger rolls - like at the ballpark
Heat the extra-virgin olive oil, a turn of the pan, in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add meat and crumble as it browns. Add chopped hot dogs after 3 to 4 minutes then cook 3 to 4 minutes more. Add the onions to the pan and cook to soften, 5 to 6 minutes more. In a bowl mix the spices, sugar, Worcestershire and tomato sauce. Pour sauce over the meat and simmer a few minutes to combine flavors. Slop onto buns and serve.

Simmer the hot dogs in sauerkraut. Drain the sauerkraut juice and discard. Serve the sauerkraut and dogs over mashed potatoes. We eat that all the time around here.
You can top it with a little ketchup, chili sauce, or BBQ sauce, if you like. Another variation is to add a sliced onion to the kraut, then simmer with the dogs. Some people like caraway seeds in the kraut, but not me. Some even peel and chop an apple and add it to the kraut.

A plain charcoal grilled hotdog tastes amazing. Bun or no bun. Just find a tomato paste to use against ketchup and you could make your own mustard. I do not really know how to come up with any ideas because almost everything has beans, sugar, dairy and grain. You could make your own chili sauce and add to the hotdog? Awesome title by the way, hahaha.

My kids invented "shabu dogs" you boil water with a piece of the green part of a leek and cut the dogs into coins then using a Kabob stick swish the coins in the water - use any sauce you wish to dip it in for a fun way to eat hot dogs. Make Kabobs alternating hot dog pieces and veggies or fruits coat with teriaki sauce and grill - serve with salad.

Mmmmm, hot dogs are good piled with ketchup, mustards and onions on a nice crusty bun. But............how about slicing them into some macaroni and cheese?
Ya know if you're sick of dogs, try Brats!! They are even better.

An amazing recipe, yet unique one my parents used to make was a hotdog/egg/potato mixture. You put vegetable oil in a pan then add the potatoes cut up into chunks, then cut up hotdogs, then the eggs. Stir together. It sounds weird, but trust me, tastes amazing.
