There is a definite line between wanting to eat healthy, exercise and becoming extremely focused on dieting and losing weight. At 13, it is important to make healthy food choices. To become vegetarian just to lose more weight is not a good idea. Actually you should probably be eating around 1500-1800 calories a day, based on your height, age and activity level. I think you need to talk with your parents about what is healthy for you, that you are constantly thinking about diet and that you feel as if you have a low self esteem. If for some reason, you can't talk to your parents, try your grandma, aunt, or someone in the family who has a good head on their shoulders and can guide you through this trying time.

umm considering that ur 13 and 95lb yea i would say that u have a problem if u think that u need to lose more weight. u need to talk to ur parents or someone so that they can get u some help. if u dont consume the nessacary calories that ur body needs to then u will literaly start to eat ur self away, since ur body will not be getting the nutrients it needs from food. if u keep this up also, body functions will start to stop, menstration, bowl and kidney functions, eventually leading to ur heart. please for yourself get some help so that u are not another young person that died on a road of self destruction

Okay.
Yes if you don't eat your metabolism will slow down.
As far as adjusting your diet it is a good idea, but you need to pay more attention to portion sizes. That's the trick.
For your self esteem,if you get involved with some kind of activity,it is said to help with that.
You are not anorexic yet.

Honey, it really sounds like you have a problem, and the problem is your obsession with your weight. Please, please talk to your parents or your doctor. You are damaging your health. You do NOT need to lose weight. Your parents or doctor need to help you learn healthy eating habits and help you stick to them. PLEASE talk to an adult RIGHT AWAY. Your health is in danger.
