I had 4 hot dogs today, two for lunch and two for dinner. I have a headache, they were Beef hotdogs too. Anyway, explain why some people who eat meat have headaches, is it the sodium in it, cholesterol, or is it something else?

Hot dogs, bacon, salami, ham, pepperoni, & other foods preserved with sodium nitrites or nitrates cause headaches.

Yayyy! Im So Happy Your Trying To Stop Eating Meat! You Can Get Protein From Soy. Im A Lacto Vegetarian (No Meat, Fish Or Eggs....Just Milk) You Can Eat Anything Boca And It Will Give You Protein. Theres Also Yves, Amys, Lightlife, Morningstar....There Are SOOOOO Many Tasty Foods That Also Have Plenty Of Protein And Things You Could Get From Meat. But Please Consult Your Doc First Cause Some People Can Not Adapt To The Change. I Felt The Same Way You Do When I First Stopped Meat...But It Went Away

Tess is right I think. The preservatives and chemicals in hot dogs, lunch meats, and other highly processed foods are not good for you and are probably causing your headaches. It's always healthier to choose minimally processed foods of all types.
