6 cup races

Very good answers on the number of races at "Chicagoland" but there was a NASCAR race in Chicago in 1956.
July 21,1956 at Soldier Field.This was a 1/2 mile paved track.They started 25 cars and the winner was Fireball Roberts.
So at Chicagoland there have been 6(this year 7).
But for the history of Chicago area there has been 1 more.

the first one was in 2001 and I was there. Jimmy Johnson won the Busch race and Kevin Harvick won the cup race which was nice because of him being Dale Sr's replacement. Third lap Everyone stood and held three finger's in the air to honor Dale's death. They did it all the races that year though.
