hehehe, I don't think you can be a 'bad' atheist....rather a human being with high moral standards...that doesn't believe in God.
You shouldn't victimize yourself...you choose to believe what you choose to believe and one should judge you for it. That's why God (I do believe in him) gave us free will. :)

I was brought up as a christian too but to be 100% I think its all a pile of lies, Still i follow many of the "guidelines" that christianity sets us. This doesn't make you and me bad atheists as you might notice most religions have these sets of "golden rules" which are not really anything to do with the religion but more with your basic human relationship with others. For example just because you treat others the same as you want them doesnt make you a bad atheist otherwise surely all athiests would be killing each other all the time and making this world a crazy place. (hmm to think about it maybe this is whats wrong with the world - their scared of being a bad atheists...??)... Just a thought.

Is there such a thing as a bad atheist? I presumed as they don't believe in anything they have no 'rules' to follow so how can they be 'bad'.
The only real basic values anyone should live by is to have respect for yourself and treat others as you would yourself or your loved ones. No-one should intentially hurt anyone and people should be caring, thoughtful and kind. Christian values they may be but not strictly limited to a faith only.
If people follow those values I have the utmost respect for them if they hold a faith or not.

No, because being a christian is having a relationship with God through Jesus. It is not about being good or bad. Most Christians are "good" because they want to be right with God. Since you don't believe that you are just going by what you know to be right or wrong and nothing is behind it but you past experiences.

Nope. I was you once. Someone with all the best bits of Christianity, but none of the theism.
If you're happy as you are, I'll leave you alone, but if not I'd recommend going to http://www.beliefnet.com and taking their belief'o'matic quiz.
You might just find that you do have a religion, waiting for you. Many people think that atheism means no religion. It just means no god. There are loads of atheistic religions out there. I am now happily practising 2 religions, just by being me.

Not at all. Many of the morals in the bible or christian values are good. They just are not exclusive to Christianity. Good values are learned a number of ways and all can be valid and form the person.

No. There is so such thing as a "bad atheist". If you don't believe in God, you're a atheist. Simple as that. Since atheism isn't a religion, you can't be good or bad in it.
