I just wanted to know if a britta filter would do the same for well water as it would for city water.

Sure - it is a carbon filter and just makes water tastier - but well water is usually really sweet so it may take that flavor out too. Good Luck!

Yes, but it might not last as long, especially if there are a lot of minerals in the well water.

Depending on your location and whats in your water. mine lasts for approx. 3 mos.
