Reading through the Bible is beneficial, to be sure. But a topical method of study is extremely informative. This has to do with analyzing what the Bible teaches on a particular subject.

Many have been surprised to learn what the Bible truly says on such subjects as soul, heaven, earth, life, and death, and even God’s Kingdom.

Jehovah's Witnesses study the Bible this way and many have studied it with them. Interestingly, they have done so for reasons other than becoming a Witness. Many have done so, for instance, just to learn from their own copy of the Bible. Some have even studied to prove the Witnesses wrong. Whatever, they have done a topical study using their own copy of the Bible and have come away with much insight.

There is a really good in depth cd rom for the computer that is great. Say you are reading the Bible about the Tabernacle, you can click on that particular verse and a picture will come up to show you what it probably looked like based on what the scriptures tells us. Then if you click on the picture it will show you what it was made of and what was in it. Where all the utensils were and what each was made of and how each was used. Really in depth stuff and very easy to read and use. The entire Bible is also on the cd.

You could read a book about the Bible, but the Bible is the best source for knowledge about the Bible.

There is a cool piece of software that you can buy that has the Bible, the original Greek, Chaldee, and Hebrew texts included with whatever translation you prefer. It gives you insight into what the passages really mean - like the verse that says "thou shalt not kill" really means "thou shalt not murder" if you look at the Hebrew origin. You can find it at www.logos.??? probably .com.

I'm a Jehovah's Witness and we have the Bible on CD and listen to the word in our truck. Reading is for the mind but meditation is for the heart. Learn scriptures by heart and meditate upon certain scriptures. Talk to others about God's word.

Read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_sin

Then without reading the Bible know that tha Holy Spirit of God has your back at all times. Try and and figure out why the Holy Spirit of God is more important than Jesus and the belief in God. Look within yourself to find the answer.

I credit the Eternal Sin with the proof that Jesus lived and what He needed us to know to truly understand Him.

It will change your life.

It's self-defined as "allegory" & "mystery";
Requires seek & find to solve the mystery.
http://www.godshew.org/Allegory.htm

Bottom line: No see-king = no "find grace";
And no find Grace "in time" can be deadly:
these all died & received not the promise.
http://www.godshew.org/Hebrews12.htm

If you're here, you agreed to play the game,
which has the stated purpose of "learning";
Which has the purpose of spiritual maturity.
http://www.godshew.org/HowbeitAfterward.htm

Holy Bible does NOT think for you;
Rather the Bible makes you THINK.
http://www.godshew.org/BiblicalDots.htm

So then, search the (plural & contrary) scriptures,
for in "them" ye(do err) think "ye" have eternal life.
Perhaps not. Perhaps eternal life is an "us" thing.
Perhaps there's no them vs them at all in us-ward.
Pst: The Lord is l-o-n-gSUFFERING to "us-ward";
Which is notably to be accounted as "salvation" only,
not as both saved(graced) + destroyed(lawed) after,
which happened to them saved out of Egypt: Jude 5.
http://www.godshew.org/Usward.htm

Think from "the end", which is already Pauline written,
in accordance with what God declared in the beginning:
Let there be LIGHT(ONLY) and there was LIGHT(ONLY).

The GRACE(ONLY) of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
