There is also a saying that love is fun but, fun is not always love.
People also say that the best part of fighting is the making up after.
Some people would start a fight just with the thought that after wards they would get sex. In some relationships this is a good thing but, this can also be a sign of abuse to get what you want.
Peace and Love can go together but, Peace and "making love" does not always match. Don't some people make love to their enemies to get closer to them and then kill them...

sex does relieve stress and tension if your willing to let it go. I doesn't get rid of the problem, but in the moment it's probably better then letting things escalate.
