Had Constantine stuck with the Roman pantheon, millions of people would still be worshiping Apollo, Mars etc
Funny isn't it!
I'm not Catholic at all, I just thought of this and laughed my head off! LOL

The history of the world certainly would have developed MUCH differently!
It is stimulating food for thought, good question!

Yeah, but the christians were slowly working their way into Roman (Byzantine) society. They had already gained control of a good chunk of the army and the tide was beginning to turn in their favor by that point. They simply decided that fighting against Rome was just getting them persecuted, so they followed the 'if you can't beat 'em infiltrate them' concept.
To answer you more directly, I think even if Constantine hadn't supported them they probably would have broken through eventually.
Then again, Julian (the Apostate) was about a hair away from getting the Empire to revert back to Paganism. Probably would have too if he hadn't been killed in battle.

Can't say that I've ever thought about that but if they didn't worship that they have something else bad to do or to worship. It really hasn't made a difference because look at the idols in the world today: pornography, fornication, adultery, money, greed, homosexuality, stealing, drunkeness, false gods, false religions, and the list goes on and on. At Armageddon 90% of the world's population will lose their lives anyway.
Sad, but true.

Contantine's Edict of Milan created freedom to practice any and all different religions. Go back and check the facts.
Under Constantine's reign, Christianity became legal to practice but was done so along side all the pre-existing pagan religions and practices. He did not make Christianity the official Roman religion, nor did he himself convert to it. He did convert and get baptized on his deathbed, as a safety net for eternity.
Your so-called humor has no basis in fact. Sorry.

Doubtful... polytheism was replaced by monotheism in many cultures.
Strange how the theist feels worshiping a single god is a reasonable behavior, while worshiping multiple gods is a ridiculous behavior.
EDIT: I was describing theists in general, not you. That's why I said "the theist", not "this theist."
