Make sure that you are connected to the internet, and that limewire isnt being blocked by and firewalls or anti-virus programs.

Many third-party security programs block LimeWire from connecting either by restricting access to the port that LimeWire uses to connect to the Gnutella network (i.e. - a firewall), the program itself, or a combination of the two. These programs may have been pre-installed on your computer when you first purchased it. Check the Windows system tray (usually located in the bottom-right corner of the screen, next to the time), and locate the icon that is associated with the security program that you are using. Right-click the icon to enter the settings.

Try the source i put in if you continue to have more problems.

ok only thing you need to do to fix this problem is go to www.limewire.com always go to the programs home page to make sure u dnt get spyware adware or virus download the newest verison of limewire from limewire.com and that's it install it and u should be good to go. i had that problem before all i did was do the update. they random go thru and knock some of the older verisons outta there system to be able to log in. i'm pretty sure that all it is to the older verison i think the ip addy dat it connects to changes. I am using the newest beta verison 4.13.8 and i love it wit the new skins and themes. but yea dat should fix ur problems. THX.

ok lets see how much trouble i can get myself into.

limewire is the biggest pain in the backside i have ever come across.i repair and upgrade pc's.
it is now getting to the point that if a pc has got or has had limewire on it i would rather loose money.
always scan files before you open them or use Ares P2P its free and safer at the min.
