You might have a cause of action. Clearly, this is assault. I would consult with a lawyer and who knows you might get something out of it. I am surprised the police dismissed you so quickly. It baffles me the police would not take you seriously because if people who got into altercations like yours know that, I could see those people taking the law into their own hands and that would not be good.

I do not know where do you reside, most of the the local police consider that as assault, however the assault in that matter may not result in prison time, but assault is assault. If you demand to press charges on the Vachel who was driven in X day and X time, whoever was a driver must face up with the charger. Report that to better business beareu for documentation, because good company dose not hire some one who assult custimore, spating in genral is not same as spating directly in the face. If I was you, I would see doctor for health issue also.

Probably...but you can press charges for assualt I say this because I think it can be considered as just like a punch. How do you know he wasn't ill or had a contagious disease?
Talk to a lawyer.
I have also been told by detectives that an officer doesn't know alot of the laws and to always talk to a lawyer for 2nd opinions.

you do not grant any tips as to the circumstances surrounding the "attack", have been you in his cab or have been you in basic terms strolling previous. Did you're saying something offensive or stupid, did you argue over the fee of the honest. i think of that is extraordinary that each and every answer in basic terms states which you should sue the filthy bastard with out understanding what led to the "attack". issues like this are often a 2 way highway, you will have completed or suggested something to electrify him. I agree that spitting on somebody isn't in elementary terms unacceptable, it is likewise degrading to the two events. i'd make constructive my face became wiped clean as quickly as useful and then pass to the well-being care professional became quickly as available, clarify what occurred and communicate any tests etc which you should ought to rule out any issues. existence is complicated from time to time, yet wearing on like a madman does not make it extra effective, get your self appeared at and get on alongside with your existence.

In Texas that is "assault". Call the cab company. If he was in independent driver, you might be out of luck. But if they can find the operator and you can positively ID him, then it could go to court.

Under the doctrine of "respondeat superior" the cab company is responsible for the tortious conduct of its employees. Yes. You can sue.

Talk to an attorney-------spitting in someones face could be known as assualt------------------How do you know this person that spit on you was not sick---------I would want to find the SOB and have hin "tested". Spitting could very well be very UNHEALTHY to some people more so than others. I definitely would want to find this person.
