The only way a male cat can have a calico coat is if it has what is called Klinefelter's syndrome in humans - it has
two X-chromosomes and one Y. Since the Y-chromosome is the sex determinant, the cat will develop as male (with male secondary sexual characteristics), but will be sterile. However, one of the X-xhromosomes will be condensed by
a mechanism that involves the recognition of one X-chromosome by another.
So, if the cat is "heterozygous" for the coat-colour gene, it will have a calico coat.
The reason why I said that it is "unlikely" that the male calico kitten would die is because the analogous condition in humans is not lethal. Since I am not a vet, I really am not sure if it is lethal in cats.

We had a calico who had a real calico brother back when I was a kid. Only one I know of. He had a horrible cleft palate and died as they didn't know how to fix those in that century. I was told a male calico would be sterile, I do not know if this is true. Other than as an oddness factor, they are not worth anything to speak of money wise, but still valuable as little cat beings in need of good homes.

I seriously doubt that you have 3 male calico kittens i bet you just dont know how to properly sex them
and the occasional calico apearing kitten that is seen on rare occasion is usually a chimera which is a genetic mutation which is basically a fusing of a male and female fetus very early on so a hermaphrodite ,and may actually contain 2 different sets of genetic material

I've never heard of male calicos either. It is a co-dominant sex-linked trait. Females are XX and males are XY. The genes for calico coat color are on the X not the Y. Although it is rare to have an XXY male due to nondisjunction, I guess its possible, but three in one litter....hmmm.....not sure if they are worth anything, but so many cats need homes....

I've only ever heard of one male calico in my life, so yeah, I think they're probably worth a bit. How you advertise them, though, I don't know.
How'd you do it?

That's impossible! They're can't be male calico kittens! They die when they are really young so there aren't any.
