My hair used to be straight. But after i moved to Thailand (was in New Zealand before) my hair has become wavy and sometimes curly. Im not worried but wondering if there is any explanation to this.

My hair is quite long, (upper middle of my back) and kinda layered.

must be more humid where you live now, and the layers probably weren't there before. humidity and lightening it up with the layers will cause it to pick up wave or natural curl if there is any

Probably the humidity, but this happened to my sister's hair when she was a teenager and she never changed locations (used to be straight, now it's really curly). Don't worry about it - that's just the way it goes, explanation or not.

Humidity. When I return to the Virgin Islands my hair is EXTRA curly in comparison to how it is in the states.

This could just be the humidity or the change of the air... or yeah, maybe it was the water! did you change shampoos or products?

It probably has something to do with whether the water is hard or soft. Alkaline vs. acidic.

Hope this helps.
