By saying Jesus didn't die they call him a liar (he said he was going to die), and trivialize the sacrifice he made for us. This is just one more reason our two faiths are incompatible.

The crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus are essential to Christian doctrine. Also Muslims don't believe that Jesus is really the Son of God. Jesus is actually more than that; read John 14:1-10, Colossians 2:9-10, and I Timothy 3:16.

I am accepting of muslims, and I think there should be more dialouge between the to groups, to foster understanding and focus on common things rather than differences.

Funny thing, one person posted a question saying "did you know Jesus is a prophet in Islam?" Many muslim responderes were accepting of this and realized it. However, many christians were angered by this and were all like "helll no, my Jesus ain't no muslim man." This is unfortunate.

Christians can do much to learn more about the universal message of Jesus, and not exclude others from his teaching. I think muslims can also learn much from him in terms of the forgiveness he preached. Most Islamic studies focus on Muhhamed, but great lessons can be learned from Jesus as well.

Christians and Muslims have many different faith beliefs./

Christians claim that Yoshua bar Yoseph (a.k.a., Jesus in Greek and the Prophet Essa, peace be upon him, to Muslims) was the literal "Son of God" being fully human and fully divine.

To a devote Mulims, such is unacceptable as it denies the "Oneness " of Allah Subhanna wa Ta'ala, which is essential to the faith of Islam.

I would be wonderful if both religious groups realized those things they have in common and focussed on that more, however such is not ikely to beceom the case.

Each religion professess that it and it alone is the "one true faith" and the sure path to salvation. Each one wants to be correct or "right" and such blinds both to the fellowship of their faiths.

May YHWH/ Trintity/ Allah Subhanna wa Ta'ala guyide devout memeber os all three of the world's major monotheistic fatihs into brotherhood and solidatiry, so as to lead the world into peace.

Until that time, each individual must look into his/her heart for the mindfulness, compassion, kindness and consciousness to live as he/she truly believes is right while doing no harm to any one.

May it all be well with you.

The major difference is that Isalm does not offer an atonement for sin. We believe that Jesus is coming back as well, but it is to redeem the earth. Mulsims believe that Jesus was a simple prophet who came to preach the word of God. His return is not as important to them as it would be for Christians. There are more differences between the religions, the major one is this: Christians believe that Jesus was the Christ, sin safrice for us. Our faith is that by believing in Him, we will be able to come closer to God. Muslim do not offer this attonement fot sin!

Because the Muslims are by definition 'antichrist' in John's definition found in his important letters to the various churches.

They deny the Son of God. To John who walked and talked with Jesus, that means that they are 'antichrist'. ( Not THE Antichrist, mind you! That is supposed to be a specific person.)

"If a person denies the Son, they do not have the Father."
( paraphrase)

So there may seem to be close similarities, but what is important for Christians like me is to define where the boundaries are, as well as I am able.
