You know I am pretty good at this stuff.
Sip on chicken noodle soup
Sip on lemon water or suck on a lemon with salt.
Chicken soup has an ingredient that actually deters cold symptoms + it is also soothing and filling.
Lemon is a natural expectorant. It has dextros in it and it is the only food source that does have it. That is where they get the Dextrum-athor-ifan that comes in cold meds.
Might consider using some Tee Tree oil from the drug store or health food store. It is concentrated so very little is needed.
Warm water in a cup and a couple of drops to gargle and swish in your mouth. Do not swallow. It smells like a camphor, but baby it is strong and a natural antibiotic.
Gargeling with warm salt water is good to kill germs in the throat. Aspirin is good to help reduce fever.
Also keep some cold packs on your wrist. Your body reduces the temps drastically fast when you compress ice on them.
I am a big fan of doing Zinc tablets daily if I think about it. Zinc will kill all kinds of bacterias in the body that is not needed. I have not had the flu or a bad cold for about 3 yrs. now. Plus Zinc gives you energy.
If all fails, consider going in to a clinic and get some antibiotics to help cure your ailments. Rest and plenty of liquids are the best friend you have.
AGAIN: Ice on your wrist is the best advice to keep the sweats down. You might not be any better, but you will be more comfortable anyway.
Sniff some mixed salt water in the palm of your hand to help kill and break up the mucus infection in the sinus cavities....not a whole lot but just a bit of each will do. Hope this helps you sweetie. I will be watching to see you visit so that we can get it together man. Take care sweetie, I always enjoy visiting!

How long have you had the cold? If you've been running a fever for two days, it sounds like it no longer is a cold but an infection, in which case you might want to get an antibiotic. Strep Throat is a common infection which will cause a sore throat and a fever--which sounds like the infection you probably have. If you don't get antibiotics and it IS Strep Throat, it can cause damage to your heart, so you need to call the doctor and make an appointment tomorrow if you're not feeling better. If it's only been a few days, then it probably isn't Strep Throat, in which case you should try Mucinex.

This is NOT a cold if you have a fever! Have you been to the Doctor? It may be strep. Please go, you will most likely need an antibiotic. If it's the flu it will have to run its course but you usually don't get a sore throat or congestion. Take Tylenol AND Ibuprophen at the same time, just stagger it a couple hours. They are different medications so you can combine them. It will help your fever and keep you more comfortable. You HAVE to drink alot of water or clear fluids like ginger ale. The more you drink the better you will feel. Sleep ALOT. Please go to the Dr., if it is Strep it will NOT just go away. I am sorry you feel crappy. I hope you feel better soon!!!!

This always works for me, but I usually begin this process as soon as I know I'm coming down with something.
1. Get lozenges with ZINC.
2. I get some zinc supplements, put the tablets between folded aluminum foil, and then crush into a fine powder. Place under the tongue and let it dissolve, usually it takes about 30-45 minutes. Don't drink anything after it dissolves!!!! That's critical. Have a saltine cracker to kill the after-taste. I usually do it right before I go to bed.
3. Eat chicken noodle soup and put ALOT of garlic in it. HEAT THE SOUP FIRST AND THEN ADD GARLIC. If you add garlic and then heat it up, garlic loses the healing properties.
4. Sleep.
5. Drink water and gaterode (since you're sweating).
Sweat is good, you're getting rid of the toxins.
Best wishes.

I think you should find symptoms and search them online... www.webmd.com helps..
but it is still kinda difficult to find out what cold you may be having with those symptoms. Look in your throat in the mirror and see if you have an infection on your throat b/c it may be strep throat or something similar that can be treated with antibiotics, but you have to know what you have first. Go to your doctor if you can because those fevers are not a good sign! I hope you feel better soon!

Did you get your flu shot this year? Your symptoms do not sound like a cold to me. You need to see the dr. Stuff like this can turn into sinus infections, pneumonia, all kinds of serious stuff.
They say echinacea shortens the life of a cold, and zinc lozenges are of some value. Cranberry juice has been suggested to me by my doctor to stem infections before they get out of hand. Echinacea tea really makes your throat feel better (in the grocery store).
I'm not a medical professional, and all of this is just what I, as a mom, have learned. If you were my kid, I'd send you to the dr.

A fever associated with a cold is probably some sort of infection (virus or bacteria). You need to see a doctor ASAP since your fever is not breaking and have had it for two days. You need to make sure you are drinking PLENTY of fluids (water, gatorade, pedialyte, 100% juice). The main thing is getting to the doctor.

You have a bacterial or viral infection. It could be caused by a number of different organisms, but your doctor can draw blood & order labs to culture & determine the specific organism and give you antibiotics (in the case of bacteria). But it sounds like you may have pharyngitis, and you need antibiotics, most likely penicillin (if you are not allergic). I would suggest you go ahead & get an antibiotic, as it speeds up the healing process, and you should be fine in a few days. Hope this helps!

by utilising unfavorable 3, i'm assuming you recommend celsius? i'm in Idaho, united statesA. appropriate now on my farm is is 12 tiers fahrennheit. it quite is -11 celsius. of direction it quite is the sunlight hours severe temperature for us. After the sunlight is going down it gets chilly. probable right down to -20 fahrennheit, it quite is -28.8 celsius. of direction if the wind starts off up, and that i might desire to factor in wind relax, then it gets even less warm, very, very rapid. final year with wind relax factored in, we had -sixty 8 fahrenheit, it quite is -fifty 5.5 celsius....we had that for a pair of week strait. I basically checked....we've a 7mph wind. so as that efficiently brings the outdoors temperature right down to a million degree fahrenheit, or -17 celsius. Winds are think to %. up this night to approximately 35 mph.....going to be an extremely chilly night in my neck of the international. ~Garnet Homesteading/Farming over two decades
