Wow, that sounds like a beautiful cake! The raspberry sounds very yummy. Just be sure to try the cake before hand to make sure that the raspberry isn't too sour. Then make sure that all the buttercream and raspberry and such compliment eachother, and together - do not taste too overwhelming.
Otherwise, it sounds beautiful yet delicious. Great choice!! I love how you guys made it traditional yet still unique in your own way. Great job!

I like the cake and the real flowers. Very classy. Not sure about the names. I thought that was what the printed napkins were for ? does the place you are buying from sell cakes you can taste ? with strawberries being so beautiful this time of year, fresh strawberries might be excellent. sometimes they put a very tiny layer of custard with the cut strawberries between the layers. it's a great cake. rasberry is excellent too !

Your cake is very pretty and I think leaving the hearts off is a good idea. May I suggest using a monogram of your initials instead of the full first names? might be a bit lengthy on a cake but either way I am sure it will look great.

To be completely honest, the one in the picture looks to be sloppily done...I think, though, that the buttercream instead of gum paste will help solve that problem.
A bit of color with the flowers will be a great addition!
While it's certainly not "wrong" to have your names on the cake, I will say that I have never seen this done before. Usually, the flowers and/or cake topper use the space where this would normally be written on the cake.

Hmm...are you going to use fondant? The fondant looks pretty, but not appetizing.
The flowers sound very pretty!
As far as putting your name on the cake, I would skip that. Maybe do some different kind of hearts.

Great! The red will really stand out and make an impact. The flavours sound yummy!
As someone said with the names maybe shorten it somehow? your initials?...I think it is a great personalised cake. well done, congrats and have a lovely day:-)

I like it, the red roses sound like a great choice to go with the cake for some color. Very classy, very pretty.
Good luck to you both.

Is it gonna be the same size.. You must be having a small wedding... I would suggest that your names and date go on a fondant or gumpaste plague that will be fitted (curve as the cake curves) and attached to the cake... I think that it would look more elegant.. It is gonna be covered in fondant..right... like the picture or is that chocolate plastic/clay...
I have seen writing on cakes and it can be very elegant... mostly they are lyrics, poems...etc...

Just make sure not to put toooooo many flowers.. That is 80's look. And as long as that picture does not look like YOUR cake (because it doesn't look to great..) It doesn't look like they knew what they were doing with the fondant. It's not that smooth… But other than that it SOUNDS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds like it deserves to be in a taste contest. The flavors will complement each other VERY well… Its making me hungry!!!!

I love that there's pattern on the top and bottom, but not the middle. It looks awesome!
And I think the red will reall compliment it.
Not sure about the writing on it - it wouldn't be my personal choice, but then, it's not my wedding!
I think it looks beautiful. Enjoy your big day! :)
